I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the contractor Mohamed Amanollahi, whom I hired through Bark for a home renovation project. We initially agreed upon a total cost of £2,000, with the work to be completed within five days, starting on the 15th of February. However, the project was not completed on time, and the contractor repeatedly delayed the work without valid reasons. In addition to the delays, I found serious concerns regarding the quality and safety of the work. For example, electrical wiring was threaded directly above the oven, creating a significant fire hazard. Despite my repeated concerns, the contractor continued to demand additional payments beyond the agreed amount. In total, I paid £3,600, yet the work remains incomplete, and he is still requesting more money. I have raised these issues on multiple occasions, but instead of addressing them professionally, the contractor became verbally aggressive over the phone. When I mentioned reporting this matter to Bark, he dismissively stated that he would simply open a new account, which raises serious concerns that he may continue to mislead and take advantage of other homeowners in the community. I request that Bark takes immediate action to investigate this matter and prevent this contractor from continuing such unethical and unsafe practices. Please let me know the next steps regarding this complaint.

Mohamad is a rare find among contractors in Manchester. He and his partner fit a new kitchen as part of a recent flat renovation. In addition to the kitchen, they also completed various other projects for the flat including the construction of an enclosed bedroom and the installation of a number of bathroom upgrades. Mohamad was very friendly and was able to finish the projects at a very fair price for the size of the renovation. I would recommend him and his company to anyone looking for a contractor to assist with development projects.
